Welcome to Indigenous Wellness Coaching
Trauma Coaching from an Indigenous perspective.
One-to-One Trauma Coaching
I offer One-to-One Trauma Coaching through a land-based, cultural approach for healing and transformation. Trauma Coaching involves the process of whole body-focusing, which is client-centered and therapist-driven, using forward-looking questions. I will always make sure you are feeling safe and comfortable to avoid the risk of re-traumatization.
The clinical therapy model I practice is called Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy & Complex Trauma. It is an effective method of unpacking trauma as you discover new perspectives, wisdom and gifts, which often come to light through your healing process.
You are in charge of your healing journey, and I am here to facilitate and help you to achieve your recovery goals.

Ahneen, Hello, My name is Angela Ashawasegai. I am an Ojibwe member of Henvey Inlet First Nation. I am a survivor of Sixties Scoop and I persevered through multiple hardships. My education and spirituality saved my life. I am now a Certified Trauma coach, specializing in Complex PTSD and processing trauma through Dreams. Recovery is possible.
Inspiring Hope for Indigenous Communities
Do your community members need motivation and mental health support? I also offer 1-2 day Trauma-Informed Care Workshops, which promote a cultural and land-based approach with experiential exercises to build resilience. You will learn how to manage anxiety while also gaining a better understanding of how self-limiting beliefs stand in between you and your true potential. Urban and rural Indigenous communities may also request one-to-one trauma therapy sessions for their community members.
